VISIT FLORIDA and 14 of our Industry Partners recently participated together in a branded stand at IMEX America 2014, the nation’s worldwide exhibition for meeting, event and incentive travel.  Alongside the VISIT FLORIDA booth, other Florida Partners, including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami and St. Pete/Clearwater, had branded stands located in the front row of the trade show floor with excellent visual exposure, accessibility and appeal. VISIT FLORIDA’s Meetings team has recently launched two new publications – the Florida Meetings magazine and Florida Meetings eNewsletter – that provide ideas, inspiration and resources for hosting vibrant Florida meetings and events.  The focus with these products is to give meeting professionals the assistance they need to ensure attendees have a memorable stay and an exciting experience, while highlighting the unique reasons to host their meetings and events in the Sunshine State. During the 2013-14 fiscal year, VISIT FLORIDA traveled to six key domestic markets for Very Important Planner (VIP) events which included Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City and Washington D.C.  Each of these markets have a strong base of corporate and national association planners that source Florida for meetings and conventions, and have been highly successful in marketing Florida’s diverse and immense meetings opportunities.
