I am pleased to announce that the 2013-2014 VISIT FLORIDA Annual Report is now available online. This marks the fifth year we have produced the report in an interactive online format, with the opportunity to download a printable PDF version. The previous four year’s reports are also available. We hope making the annual reports available online, with links to more details through archived blog posts and other web content, will allow viewers to move more easily through the wealth of information on VISIT FLORIDA’s efforts to market the Sunshine State and serve as a thought leader for the tourism industry this past fiscal year. VISIT FLORIDA and 14 of our Industry Partners recently participated together in a branded stand at IMEX America 2014, the nation’s worldwide exhibition for meeting, event and incentive travel. Alongside the VISIT FLORIDA booth, other Florida Partners, including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami and St. Pete/Clearwater, had branded stands located in the front row of the trade show floor with excellent visual exposure, accessibility and appeal. I am pleased to announce that VISIT FLORIDA was named the 2014 State Tourism Office of the Year during last night’s Southeast Tourism Society Shining Example Awards banquet. The awards ceremony, held annually to salute achievements in tourism, was part of the Southeast Tourism Society Fall Forum in Charleston, SC. VISIT FLORIDA’s International Marketing & Events team recently hosted a five-day sales mission to visit with key travel agencies and tour operators in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. The week-long event, which included several added-value activities, offered a great opportunity for VISIT FLORIDA and five of our Industry Partners to provide updates on what’s new in Florida to a total of nearly 300 Nordic travel trade representatives. In order to get a jump start on our Fall marketing campaign, VISIT FLORIDA partnered with JetBlue Airlines to create a unique regional co-op program featuring Florida’s West Coast Beaches. For the last two months, the airlines has been promoting offers from two of Florida’s key markets New York and Boston on JetBlue to St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Bradenton, Sarasota, Ft.
