Sunshine Matters

As part of the U.S. college football kickoff weekend, VISIT FLORIDA partnered with Visit Orlando and Hertz to host our annual Irish Summer Event in Dublin.  This year, 18 key tour operators, airline representatives and travel media attended our American football tailgate party during the University of Central Florida versus Penn State game held at Croke Park.  The reception, held in a private skybox at the stadium, provided VISIT FLORIDA and our Partners with a unique, festive opportunity to share what makes Florida such a great place to visit in the Fall and all year long.

In 2013, Florida welcomed 107,000 visitors from the Republic of Ireland who spent $95 million.  This represents a 20 percent increase in visitation and a 34 percent growth in visitor spending from the previous year.
