Sunshine Matters

This week VISIT FLORIDA entered a new fiscal year with a new marketing plan, an increased budget and higher expectations.  We also welcomed a new industry leadership team.

The changing of the guard on VISIT FLORIDA’s Board of Directors and industry committees is a powerful reminder of the incredible amount of time, energy and resources that the Florida tourism industry invests to lead VISIT FLORIDA.

I would like to thank Glenn Hastings for his extraordinarily leadership last year as the Chair of our Board of Directors.  I would also like to thank everyone who helped make 2012-2013 a record year for VISIT FLORIDA.  Our success is a direct result of the volunteers who serve on the VISIT FLORIDA Board and committees, and the thousands of partners who participate in co-op advertising, sales events, public relations missions and promotions.  Thank You.

I would also like to welcome Tammy Gustafson as the new Chair of the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors and all who have volunteered to serve on this year’s Board and committees.  The Florida tourism industry has a tremendous amount of momentum and I believe that together we can and will make Florida the No. 1 travel destination in the world.
