Updated Palm Cards for Consumer and Media Messaging

June 7th, 2010 — 12:08pm

I recently posted a message on this blog about VISIT FLORIDA’s efforts to assist Florida’s tourism industry in addressing questions from consumers regarding the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.  Our team created palm cards that can be downloaded, printed and distributed to front-line employees, as well as separate palm cards for those working with the media. This morning, we updated the palm cards to reflect current messaging. Please ensure you are using the most up-to-date version and discard any previous versions. Use the links below to download the updated palm cards in PDF format.

VISIT FLORIDA Invites You to Join the ‘Share a Little Sunshine’ Campaign

March 22nd, 2010 — 11:07am

The ‘Share a Little Sunshine’ campaign is off to a great start!  This statewide, grassroots tourism campaign encourages all Floridians to send a personal e-mail to out-of-state friends and family inviting them to visit the Sunshine State.  The campaign was successfully launched by Governor Crist during a tourism industry rally on Miami Beach last month.  The Governor asked Floridians to get involved, saying “Together we can encourage more visitors to come to the Sunshine State. In this way, we will help keep Floridians employed, create new jobs, and help keep our state’s world-class restaurants, resorts, parks and attractions strong.”  Continue reading »

Governor’s Conference Highlights

September 17th, 2009 — 11:01am

Thanks so much to everyone who attended the 42nd Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism!  This year’s event was a rousing success and I attribute much of that to the hard work and dedication of all the staff at VISIT FLORIDA.  The Fontainebleau was a spectacular host location and the food and service they provided were unparalleled.  I also want to personally thank each of the exhibitors and sponsors who participated in a variety of ways and without whom an event of this magnitude would not have been possible.
