Partnership for Florida’s Tourism Launches Revamped Website

By on July 18th, 2014 — 2:43pm

Today, the Partnership for Florida’s Tourism unveiled its newly revamped website TourismWorksforFlorida.org.  The site, previously known as Florida’s Tourism Counts, includes an advocacy toolkit, an upcoming news and events section with dates for delegation meetings, Florida Tourism Day and National Travel & Tourism Week, and details on how to contact elected officials and track tourism-related legislation.

The Partnership for Florida’s Tourism is a grassroots coalition designed to raise awareness of the importance of tourism and to increase public funding of tourism marketing.  The organization was begun in 2006 to combat the increased funding of other top travel destinations.

The Partnership is comprised of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA), Florida Attractions Association (FAA), Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (FARVC), Florida Association of Destination Marketing Organizations (FADMO) and VISIT FLORIDA.  Key influencers in the tourism industry, as well as those from business not directly within the Florida tourism industry, but who benefit from spending by Florida’s visitors, have also joined in this effort.

Please visit the new site to learn more about the important role the Florida tourism industry plays in the Sunshine State’s economic growth and how you could help lend your voice to the Partnership’s advocacy efforts.  For more information, contact me at 850-205-3854 or beccav@visitflorida.org and be sure to save the date of March 11, 2015 for Florida Tourism Day.
