BP estimates oil spill up to 100,000 bpd in document, Reuters http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN1416392020100620  (In this report: An internal BP document estimates that a worst-case scenario for the Gulf oil spill could be about 100,000 barrels of oil per day.  The document, which is undated, was released by U.S. Representative Ed Markey, chairman of a subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.  The document appears to estimate the highest potential flow of oil if key components of the well fail.  It does not indicate that the 100,000 barrels per day is BP’s estimate of the actual amount gushing from the ruptured well.)
