VISIT FLORIDA Wraps Up Successful ‘Very Important Planner’ Tour

During the 2013-14 fiscal year, VISIT FLORIDA traveled to six key domestic markets for Very Important Planner (VIP) events which included Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City and Washington D.C.  Each of these markets have a strong base of corporate and national association planners that source Florida for meetings and conventions, and have been highly successful in marketing Florida’s diverse and immense meetings opportunities. VISIT FLORIDA Awards Record Number of Tourism Industry Grants

I am pleased to announce that VISIT FLORIDA has recently awarded $483,105 to Florida tourism industry organizations as part of our 2014-2015 grant program.  The grants are given in four program categories, including Advertising Matching Grants; Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature Tourism Grants; Minority Convention Grants; and Small Business Grants.  This year, VISIT FLORIDA received a record number of applications and was able to award grants to 107 deserving businesses. VISIT FLORIDA & Partners Help Host AIBTM 2014

The Sunshine State recently played host to one of the leading exhibitions for the U.S. meetings, events, incentive and business travel industry.  Held in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center, the 2014 Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition –  better known as AIBTM – welcomed more than 3,000 top level decision makers for meetings and incentive business travel who met with corporate planners to talk about top meeting destinations across the globe. VISIT FLORIDA Partners with iHeartRADIO to Reach Millennials

VISIT FLORIDA recently completed our second year as presenting sponsor of the annual iHeartRADIO Ultimate Pool Party held June 27-28 at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel.  The wildly-popular two-day music festival was hosted by Nick Cannon and included performances by Jennifer Lopez, Neon Trees, Tiësto, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea and Lil Jon.  With the event streaming live on Yahoo! and the CW airing a concert wrap up special tonight, VISIT FLORIDA expects to garner nearly $2 million in promotional value.
