Throughout the 2014-15 fiscal year, VISIT FLORIDA and our Partners traveled to five key domestic markets for Very Important Planner (VIP) events. The Florida-themed signature events were held in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York City and Washington D.C. since those markets have a high number of corporate and national association planners that source Florida for meetings and conventions. I am pleased to announce that VISIT FLORIDA has awarded $456,959 to Florida tourism industry organizations as part of our 2015-2016 grant program. The grants are given in four program categories, including Advertising Matching Grants; Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature Tourism Grants; Minority Convention Grants; and Small Business Grants. This year, VISIT FLORIDA received 120 applications and was able to award grants to 102 deserving businesses. Continue reading »

Happy New Year! The Florida tourism industry kicks off the new fiscal year with a tremendous amount of momentum. Record visitors, record spending and record hospitality industry jobs.
