VISIT FLORIDA Receives $76 Million in Public Funding for 2016-2017

Florida CapitolThis afternoon, the Florida Legislature passed the state budget which included $76 million in funding for VISIT FLORIDA in FY 2016-2017.  I would like to thank Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature for their extraordinary support of the state’s tourism industry and VISIT FLORIDA.  We are very fortunate to have elected leaders that recognize the importance of tourism, our industry’s role in strengthening the state’s economy and creating jobs for Floridians. VISIT FLORIDA Partners with FAA for 2016 Attraction Regional Forums

FAA Regional Forums 1I recently had the opportunity to represent VISIT FLORIDA as we joined the team from the Florida Attractions Association (FAA) for the 2016 Attraction Regional Forums.  These forums brought together hundreds of FAA members and stakeholders at four locations around the state.  Our hosts included the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, the Miami Children’s Museum, the I-Drive NASCAR Indoor Kart Racing in Orlando and Historic Tours of Flagler College in St. Augustine.
