Save the Date for 2013 Florida Tourism Day

By on October 5th, 2012 — 10:13am

I am pleased to announce that the industry’s annual Florida Tourism Day will be held March 13, 2013, in Tallahassee.

Hosted each year by the Partnership for Florida’s Tourism, Florida Tourism Day provides the opportunity for all members of the Florida tourism industry to educate the legislature, media and Floridians about the importance of Florida’s tourism industry and the rationale for the public funding request to increase tourism marketing efforts. It’s the perfect day to let your lawmakers know just how vital tourism is to our state and how crucial it is for them to support Florida’s No. 1 industry.

In 2012, Tourism Day drew nearly 300 industry representatives – over 100 more than in 2011 – from 35 counties around the state to Tallahassee, where they met with more than 75 legislators and government leaders.

Be a tourism advocate and join fellow industry members at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 13 as we speak with legislators about the pivotal role of tourism in the Sunshine State.  Additional details including registration and hotel information will be shared closer to the event.
