VISIT FLORIDA Teams with Disney to Promote Share a Little Sunshine

VF_SHARE_LOGO_ECShare a Little Sunshine, a VISIT FLORIDA sponsored program to enlist Floridians’ help with promoting travel to the state, has a new partner.  Disney joined VISIT FLORIDA to create a statewide public service announcement (PSA) reminding Florida residents of the endless opportunities for summer fun in Florida, as well as creative ways to invite friends and family to visit the Sunshine State.

The new PSA marks the first time Disney has partnered on this effort.

Now in its fourth year, Share a Little Sunshine has more than 140,000 Facebook fans and research shows that one in five Floridians are familiar with the program.  The key to the award-winning campaign’s success is recognizing that Florida residents can play an important role in improving the state’s economy.  In 2012, Floridians took more than 20 million in-state vacations and were connected to 17.4 million visiting friends and relatives.  Each of these visitors adds an average of $1,119 directly into Florida’s economy, with every 85 visitors translating into one Florida job.
