VISIT FLORIDA Launches Summer Social Media Campaign

I’m proud to announce that today VISIT FLORIDA launched our newest social media-based campaign to increase awareness of Florida as a summer vacation destination.  The campaign features “Florida’s Three for Free Giveaway” sweepstakes, where participants can enter to win a grand prize of three personally selected Florida vacation packages.  In addition to the three-vacation grand prize, VISIT FLORIDA will award nine other single-vacation prizes.  Participants may enter daily through June 30 at VISIT FLORIDA’s Facebook page or at VISITFLORIDA.com/3forfree. VISIT FLORIDA Wins Big at Annual HSMAI Adrian Awards

I am pleased to announce that during last evening’s awards gala in New York, Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) recognized VISIT FLORIDA with one Gold and three Silver Adrian Awards.  The awards were given for public relations and digital marketing excellence for VISIT FLORIDA’s winning entries in the 55th Annual Adrian Awards Competition, the world’s most recognized and prestigious advertising, public relations and digital marketing competition for the hospitality, travel and tourism industries. This year’s total of four awards marks VISIT FLORIDA’s largest number of winning Adrian entries ever received.

VISIT FLORIDA was selected by HSMAI to receive a Gold Adrian Award for its “Great VISIT FLORIDA Beach Walk” crisis recovery campaign and Silver Adrian Awards for its “Sunshine Moments” social media campaign, its “Florida Seafood Celebration” special event in Washington, D.C. and its “GO Magazine” feature placement in AirTran’s on-board publication. VISIT FLORIDA Utilizes Satellite Media Tour to Help Promote Summer Travel

Memorial Day weekend traditionally kicks off the summer vacation season around the country.  In advance of the holiday weekend and as part of our broader summer marketing campaign, VISIT FLORIDA hosted a satellite media tour (SMT)  on St. Pete Beach last week to bring the message of sun, fun and the diversity of the Sunshine State’s unique destinations to family vacationers planning their summer travel. VISIT FLORIDA Launches Summer Marketing Campaign

Today, VISIT FLORIDA announced the launch of our integrated digital “Sunshine Moments” summer marketing campaign.  The campaign’s media plan focuses on reaching families through highly-targeted digital advertising buys on Facebook, AOL, Yahoo and several other key social media sites.  The $1.1 million, five-week social media-driven campaign is expected to result in more than 315 million online impressions.  The announcement was made during a satellite media tour held in St. Petersburg, which included nearly 30 media outlets from around the country.
